Carolyn Dale Cannon

Carolyn Dale Cannon, 74, of Falkville, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born on April 19, 1951, in Morgan County to J. W. Hughes and Zelma Cheatham, Carolyn lived a life centered on the people and creatures she loved.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carolyn found deep joy in gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and caring for her beloved dogs, Daisy, Cooper, and Little Bit. She faced the end of her life with remarkable courage and faith, holding fast to her Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Carl Ray Hughes; and her sisters, Gail Clemmons, Ann Cash, and Virgie Narmore.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Ronald Douglas Cannon, Jr. (Cheryl); her daughter, Alice Miller (Matthew); her brother, Jurdy Wayne Hughes (Alice); her sister, Shirley Marie Nolen; her grandchildren, Stephen Miller (Myranda), Amanda Reese (Travis), and Douglas Wunch; and her great-grandchildren, Abby Rae Reese, Andrew Rhett Reese, Dean Spartacus Miller, Beau Alexander Miller, and one more on the way. Her faithful companions, Daisy, Cooper, and Little Bit, remain part of the family she cherished.
