Carolyn Campbell

Carolyn “Sue” Campbell, 80, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1945, to the late Charles R. Lightle and Helen L. Gates.

Sue was married to Ronnie Campbell, who preceded her in death in 2002. She is survived by her sister, Barb Doak; two nephews, Ken (Eva) Doak and Wayne (Donna) Doak; all of Sidney, as well as several nieces and nephews; many cousins; and her beloved cat, Quinn.

Sue found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the color purple, spending time with her family playing cards on Friday nights, shopping, and going out to eat. She was also a devoted fan of Ohio State football and rarely missed watching a game. Quinn, her cherished cat, held a special place in her heart and was a constant companion.

Sue was of the Christian faith and attended Russell Road Church in Sidney. She often shared a saying passed down from her grandmother that reflected her outlook on life: “It is what it is.” She will be remembered for her love of family, her warm spirit, and the many moments of laughter shared with those closest to her.

A visitation will be held at Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home on Monday - March 16, 2026, from 6 PM until 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Sabina, Ohio. Services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
