Caroline Frances Stewart

Caroline Frances Stewart of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on September 16, 1945, in Colorado Springs to Oliver J. Garber and Iris L. Taylor, Caroline was a lifelong Colorado native who attended Palmer High School. She married Howard G. Stewart Sr. on September 13, 1960. Together they raised two sons, Larry L. Stewart and Howard G. Stewart Jr., who preceded her in death on May 25, 1994. Caroline worked at Colorado Sintered Metals, Schlage Lock, and TRW before becoming a certified nursing assistant in 1996 at Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, where she continued until her retirement in 2003.

She was an avid Denver Broncos fan who cherished the memory of meeting several players from the 1998 and 1999 Super Bowl teams. Caroline is survived by her four grandchildren, Brandon Stewart, Jesse Brown, Deana Stewart Rivera, and Lukas Stewart, as well as three great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
