Carole Taylor ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home on Mar. 9, 2026.WOLFEBORO ---- Carole Ann Taylor passed away peacefully at the Wolfeboro Bay Center on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.Carole was born October 1, 1945, in Brewster, New York, and lived for many years in Laconia, New Hampshire.Much of Carole's life was devoted to raising a large and blended family. She was practical and dependable and kept close track of the lives of her children and grandchildren. She made holidays and birthdays special for her family, preparing large Thanksgiving dinners, filling Christmas mornings with presents, and making each child's favorite meal on their birthday. The family lived for many years in the Lakes Region, spending summers at their home on Lake Opechee and winters traveling to Disney World together.Carole was also a gifted quilter, winning awards for her work and creating quilts for her children and grandchildren to mark important milestones in their lives. Her life required quiet strength, and she devoted herself to caring for the many people who passed through her home. She will be remembered for the traditions she created and the steady role she played in the lives of her family.Early in her life she and Elliott Taylor owned and operated the Colonial House of Pancakes, which grew into several restaurants throughout the New England area.She was predeceased by her parents, Millard F. and Dorothy Huson, and her brothers Jeffrey, David, and Robert.She is survived by her children, Cari Ordway, Jonathan Taylor, Christopher Taylor, and Cynthia Jacks; her stepchildren, Richard Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Scott Taylor, and Barbara Taylor; and two young people who later found a home with the family, Mary Bourgeois and Eric Grant. She is also survived by close family friend, Jennifer Taylor. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Carol Lundqvist, Matthew Williams, Tyler Nixon, Mason Taylor, Charles Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Justin Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Nicholas Jacks, and Ella Jacks.There will be no services at this time.There will a private family gathering this summer.Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services/603Cremations.com, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, NH, 03246, is assisting the family with arrangements.
