Carole Patricia Farris

Carole Patricia Farris, 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living Facility.

Born on June 3, 1943, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Carole was the daughter of Charlotte “Pat” Magnani and George “Mac” Mowatt. She grew up in Lynn with her brother Paul Mowatt, graduated from Amesbury High School, and later earned an associate degree from Aquinas College in Nashville.

In the late 1960s, Carole moved with her family to Nashville, first settling in Old Hickory just north of downtown and later in Madison. She became an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she served as a patrol mother for many years. She then worked for 22 years as an emergency dispatcher with Metro Nashville 911. A lifelong lover of the musical arts, Carole devoted more than 30 years to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and 12 years to the Nashville Symphony, generously sharing tickets to concerts and musicals with friends and family.

She is survived by her brother Paul Mowatt of Phoenix, Arizona, her sister Donna Magnani of Lynn, Massachusetts, and her children Christopher Farris of Nashville, Tennessee, and Lisa Acred of Irmo, South Carolina. Carole was the proud grandmother of Kira Cleveland, Amirah Bare, Brynna Farris-McManus, Stephen Rule, and Matthew Rule, and the great-grandmother of ten.
