April 21, 1938— March 13, 2026
Cincinnati, OH
Carole H. Beck, a woman whose life was a testament to her faith, generosity, and devotion to family, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on April 21, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carole lived a life deeply rooted in family and long-lasting friendships.
A proud graduate of Mother of Mercy High School, Class of 1956, she worked as a secretary at Procter and Gamble until just before the birth of her oldest son, then devoted herself to raising her three children alongside her husband Jack. When her children were older, she returned to clerical work, first for State Farm and later for Hamilton County. In retirement, she became a longtime volunteer with the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.
Carole’s heart was fullest when surrounded by her family. She was the devoted mother of Jim (Sherry) Beck, the late Michael (Cindy) Beck, and Terri (Tom) Zimmerman. She is survived by her grandchildren Jim, John (Sarah), Chrissy (Brian), the late Megan, Dan (Brittany), Nicole (Daniel), Chris, Drew, Andy (Emily), Jeff (Chelsea), and Katie; her great-grandchildren Eric, Andrew, Nick, Jacob, Mady, Brad, Danielle (Kyle), Emma, Sully, Evie, Weller, Finn, Elise, Elaina, and Hallie; and her great-great-grandchildren Bella, Hudson, Jack, and Reese. She was a beloved sister to Sharon (Glen) Walters, Cathy (Dan) Johnston, and Bonnie (Tony) Korbar, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was reunited in heaven with her husband of more than 45 years, John “Jack” Beck, as well as her sisters Jean Anne (George) Barsan and Simone (Don) Hildebrand, and several in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Dorothy Hemsath Reiring, her stepmother Wilma Hemsath, her son Michael, and her granddaughter Megan. Carole found great joy in attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, school programs, plays, and art shows, especially cheering for athletes from Elder, Seton, and Oak Hills High Schools. An avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, she also enjoyed Xavier University basketball games with her sister Jean Anne and was a member of the Rosie Reds and the Musketeer Club. She expressed her creativity through sewing dresses, quilts, and costumes, embroidering baby blankets, and crafting personalized greeting cards. Her beloved dogs remained faithful companions throughout her years. Above all, Carole’s proudest accomplishment was the loving family she and Jack built together, a legacy carried forward through faith, service, generosity, and creativity. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
