Carole Ceciele Bartasek passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born on April 18, 1939, in Bayshore, New York, to Otto Yens Bartasek and Eleanor Bohmermann, she grew up attending schools on Long Island before enlisting in the United States Army in 1957. She served until her honorable discharge in April 1960, earning a Good Conduct Medal.
Carole went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education from Sul Ross State University. She dedicated many years to teaching and coaching sports at Reicher Catholic High School in Texas. Later, she opened and operated the Red Fire Hydrant Kennels and Grooming business, where her warmth and care touched the lives of many.
A lifelong member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Carole is remembered fondly by her many clients and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of service, dedication to education and athletics, and a deep love for animals.
