Carole Ann Young

Carole Ann Young, née Jones, age 80 of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026, surrounded by her family and close friends.

She is survived by her children, Donna Stevens (David), John Young (Arlene), and Jim Young (Heather); her sister, Teresa Gilbrech (Raymond); sister-in-law Charlotte Weasner Hall (James); and brother-in-law Rusty Spinks. Carole cherished her grandchildren, Brandon Puckett (Jordan), Nick Stevens (Leidy), Codey Young (Abby), and Chloe Young (Lucas), as well as her great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Lainey, and Adaleigh. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many cousins, and a wide circle of dear friends, including Carol Keller (Bill), Judy Lowery, Bob Waddell, Sandy Cloyd (Earl), Mary Johnson, and countless others.

Carole had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger and loved striking up conversations with people wherever she went. Her warmth and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Mildred Jones; her devoted husband, Daniel Lee Young; her brother, Don Jones; sisters-in-law Betty Jones, Patty Spinks, and Janet Wilson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; her close friend Donita Ashburn; and her beloved little dog Sissy.
