Carole Ann West, 84, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in Spartanburg.
Born on April 24, 1941, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Waldrop and Ollie Mae Waldrop. Carole dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse and through the love she showed to her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of Stanley L. West for over 60 years. She is also survived by her children, Angie Nichols, Mark West, and Vickie Phillips; several grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Waldrop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Sisk.
Throughout her life, Carole faced many health challenges, yet she remained incredibly strong and resilient. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm Friday, March 20, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Dr. James C. Hilton. Music will be provided by Dr. Peter Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, PO Box 2624, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
