Carole Ann Scheppmann

Carole Ann Scheppmann, née Magnuson, was born on May 21, 1943 in Los Angeles and grew up in Southern California. Her devotion to Transcendental Meditation led her to Fairfield in the early 1980s, where she made her home for the rest of her life. A lifelong teacher, she taught high-school English as well as yoga and Transcendental Meditation. Her deep spirituality grounded her and gave her strength through every chapter of her life.

Carole found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Lee, her children Matt and Elizabeth, and her beloved grandchildren Leon, Ula, Indie, and Dane. She loved the arts and was an accomplished pianist, writer, actor, and singer. A voracious reader throughout her life, she also loved to laugh and was known as a wizard at cards.

She was so much more to the many who loved and admired her, and she will be deeply missed. Carole passed away on March 12, 2026 at her home in Fairfield.
