Carol Wilkie Sloan

Carol Wilkie Sloan, 81, of Goldston, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation surrounded by her family.

Born on April 3, 1944, in Chatham County, Carol was the daughter of the late Jim and Clara Hancock Wilkie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Ray Sloan, Sr., and her brothers Jack Wilkie, Raymond Wilkie, and Harry Dean Wilkie.

Carol devoted herself to her family above all else. She cherished quiet days at home, rocking in her chair on the front porch, reading, keeping up with the news, and staying connected through calls with neighbors. She had a deep affection for her animals, especially her loyal companion Mo. Alongside her husband Bobby, she worked as a poultry farmer, balancing the demands of the farm with the care of her home and loved ones.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Sloan, Jr. (Christy) and Brian Sloan (Kristy), and her grandchildren, Angela Sloan, Tamra Mae Sloan, and Riley Maynor.
