Carol Sue Fuqua

March 21, 1944 March 6, 2026

San Angelo, TX

Carol Fuqua, 81, of San Angelo, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on March 21, 1944, in Dodge City, Kansas, to F.L. and Mary Brocker, she graduated from Sandia High School in 1962. On June 4, 1963, Carol married Edward Fuqua in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the couple moved to San Angelo the following year.

Carol worked at various jobs, including Hogan's Heroes and Kmart, but was best known to many as the Avon Lady. She would arrive with her turquoise suitcase and spend afternoons sharing stories and laughter with friends. In later years, she found joy in attending drag racing and monster truck events, hockey and sporting games, craft shows, and especially church functions. A devoted woman of faith, she was known as a great prayer warrior who faithfully prayed for everyone she knew and met.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, F.L. and Mary Brocker, her husband Edward Fuqua, her son John David Fuqua, and her grandson Tyler Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter Kara Ferguson and husband Dale; grandsons Eric Ferguson, William Fuqua and wife Lindsey, and Harley Ferguson; ten great-grandchildren, Shi, Weston, Carson, Genevieve, Nevach, Noah, Magnolia, Knox, Tyler, and David; and one great-great-granddaughter, Evangeline. She also leaves behind several cousins and a dear friend, Ray Martinez.
