Carol M. Welch, born on October 10, 1938, in Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the age of 87. A lifelong resident of Central New York, Carol built a life defined by love, service, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community.

She raised her four children in Cazenovia, creating a home filled with warmth, unconditional love, and steadfast support. Later living in Jamesville and Liverpool, she formed many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people.

For many years Carol worked at Cazenovia NAPA Auto Parts, where her reliability and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and customers. Her deep commitment to helping others led her to volunteer with CAVAC as an EMT, which inspired her to return to school and become a Registered Nurse and later a Nurse Practitioner. She devoted her professional career to Upstate Medical Center in the Coronary Care Unit, where she cared for patients with skill, empathy, and a calm, steady presence. Her dedication left a lasting impact on the medical community, and she served as an inspiration and role model to many aspiring nursing students as a clinical supervisor.

Predeceased by her devoted husband of 58 years, Alfred Welch, Jr., her beloved daughter Laura Welch, and her brother William Henderson, Carol is survived by her children Christine (Welch) DelBalso, Paul Welch (Giovanna), and Beth Welch (Michael); her four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Lucy Reynolds, whom she loved dearly; and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the lives she touched through her care and service, and her unwavering devotion to helping others. Her compassion and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
