Carol M. Murphy

Carol May Murphy, 85, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on May 28, 1940 to Howard and Ethel Elwood, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest passions were her faith in Jesus, her children, and her grandchildren. She had a gift for connecting with people, knowing someone wherever she went and always taking time to speak with them.

Carol and her husband, Jim B. Murphy, shared a love for travel, visiting many places across the United States and overseas. They also spent numerous vacations serving with Habitat for Humanity, building homes and encouraging others at the work sites. A lifelong student of Scripture, she found deep joy in studying God’s word and sharing her faith with those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim B. Murphy; their four children, Mark (Ellen) Murphy, Melissa (Boon) Teo, Marcia (Jay) Nichols, and Michael (Jennifer) Murphy; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
