She was born in Lowell, MA, on March 31, 1956, the daughter of the late Lynwood F. Manning and Fernande N. Manning.She was the loving wife of Carroll P. O'Brien. They were married in Lowell, MA on June 12, 1976.Carol was a graduate of Chelmsford High School and later continued her education at Northern Essex Community College, the University of New Hampshire, and Walden University. A devoted nurse, Carol dedicated much of her career to working in intensive care, where she showed profound compassion for her patients. She continued to further her education, eventually earning her Ph.D., and went on to teach future nurses. Later, she operated her own practice, where she was known for going above and beyond in the care and compassion she provided to those she served.She was a member of the American Nurses Association and the Baptist Church.Carol had a deep love for animals, including her many pets, and a strong appreciation for nature. She loved music of all kinds and enjoyed movies and television, Disney adventures, giving to charity, and collecting thimbles.Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gail Manning; her brother-in-law, Francis O'Brien III; and her mother-in-law, Rhoda Betty O'Brien.She is survived by her loving husband, Carroll P. O'Brien; their son, Christopher O'Brien; her sister, Joanne Manning and Joanne's son, Evan Carus; her sister-in-law, Sharon O'Brien and Sharon's son, Shaun O'Brien, his wife Alyssa, and their sons, George and Henry; as well as extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.SERVICES: Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH.
