Carol Sentman ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by McCrery & Harra Funeral Home and Crematory - Concord Pike on Mar. 9, 2026.Carol was born the third daughter of Robert M. Hall and Margaret Hamor Poffenberger-Hall and was brought home to the large blended family home of her grandmother in Roselle. She lived there until she was 10 years old and when her youngest brother Stephen was brought home from the hospital they moved to their new home right next door. She was always proud of the fact that her father was a Delaware State Trooper.Carol attended schools in Elsmere and graduated from Conrad High School in 1959. She married Harry Sentman in 1965 and they were married for 37 years until his death in 2002. She had many special lifetime friends, including The Webb Family, Sharrie Bair, Alice Faye Harris, Phyllis Baker and Judy Wever, as well as her friends at the Internal Revenue Service, where she was employed for many years in the mailroom. Carol retired to care for her aging parents and took them to live with her in New Castle; moving back to her family home after their deaths. She loved sharing stories of growing up in Roselle; family trips, picnics with the Webbs, rides in the "country," planning parties for every occasion, feeding the birds, finding a "bargain," eating ice cream, listening to holiday music, viewing Christmas lights, and flowers. She especially loved looking at family pictures and telling stories about her siblings.Carol was a lifetime member at Christ United Methodist Church- moving there from Brack Ex Church when it became too small for their congregation. She was a skilled crocheter and throughout her life made many blankets which her family members still cherish.Carol will always be remembered for her giving spirit and her ability to care unconditionally for those who needed her. She spent her entire life giving to others and always saw the good in everyone. She loved and defended her family fiercely and found great joy from her siblings' children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We didn't deserve her but she was the best daughter, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ever ask for. We will miss her and love her dearly every day for the rest of our lives.Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert Jr and Stephen; and her older sister Roberta Guyer-Merrill.
