Albuquerque, NM

Carol L. Fox, age 78, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by family. Her passing followed a lengthy battle with dementia. Carol was born on July 26, 1947, in Kerrville, TX, to her parents, Robert S. Hays, Sr. and Barbara E. (Roop) Hays. During her early childhood, her family moved frequently due to her father's government employment. She graduated from high school in Cody, WY in 1965 and continued her education at Oklahoma University. She was lovingly known as "Susie" to her family and those closest to her.

In 1971, Carol married her husband, Glenn L. Fox, in Albuquerque, NM. They shared almost 56 years of marriage together. Over the years Carol worked in several fields, including real estate title work and later in the county court system for Judge Susan Conway. She enjoyed supporting Glenn in his racing hobby and the many friendships they made through their shared interests.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Fox; her parents, Robert S. Hays, Sr. and Barbara E. (Roop) Hays; and her nephew, Robert James Hays. She is survived by her husband, Glenn L. Fox; her stepdaughter, NanEtte Fox, and NanEtte's children; Carol's brother, Robert S. Hays, Jr.; and her niece, Mary Ellen Burum.

Carol will be remembered for her strong will, her love of family, and the many memories she created with those closest to her.
