Carol Leddy Braga

Carol Leddy Braga, 74, of Hamden, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2026. Born on January 5, 1952, in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Bernadette and Joseph Leddy, Carol dedicated her life to caring for others. Her compassion and ability to connect with people defined a long and meaningful career as a nurse, culminating in a decade as the school nurse at Hillhouse High School before her retirement in 2018.

In her free time, Carol found joy in gardening and cherishing moments with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and wonderful sense of humor.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Braga, and her sister, Lorraine Leddy. She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Braga and Kimberly McCarthy; her son-in-law, Mickey McCarthy; her grandchildren, Rori, Camryn, and Lukas McCarthy; her sisters, Dianne (Ken) Engerman and Barbara (Thomas) Fleming; and many nieces and nephews.
