Carol L. Perkins

Carol L. Perkins, 79, of Greenwood, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on September 14, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Irvin L. Clampitt and Mary L. (Whalen) Clampitt, Carol lived a life marked by quiet dedication and deep family devotion.

She served the Indiana State Government for 38 years as an Administrator for the 1977 Police and Fire Pension Fund before retiring. A longtime member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, Carol found great joy in supporting her grandchildren at their sports events and activities. She remained a loyal and enthusiastic fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Pacers throughout her life.

Carol is survived by her son, John (Carol Guidry) Perkins; her daughter, Lynne (Robert) Lewis; her sister, Brenda Butler; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Katherine “Kathy” L. Perkins, and her companion, Tommie Wright.
