Carol KrekeApril 1, 1954 - February 26, 2026Carol Lynn Kreke passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. Carol was born April 1, 1954, in Decatur, to Lon and Marie Ernest. She married Mark Kreke on July 12, 1991, who cared for her with unwavering devotionCarol was happiest as a mother and "Grandma." She enjoyed traveling, flowers, her computer, and capturing memories through photosShe is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Tom (Jennie) Chalmers, Ryan (Stephanie) Kreke, and Lisa (Mike) Pratt; grandchildren, Terra, Reid, Coltin, Justin, Jack, Josie, and Calvin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Nancy Walsh and Georgia Jacobs.A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 28th, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Decatur DAV. Burial services will be private at Macon County Memorial Park.
