Born in Brockton on December 23, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Leroy and Isabelle Inez (Buckley) Hoffman. Carol was raised in Brockton as one of seven children and carried with her throughout her life a deep love for family, faith, and community.

A devout Catholic, Carol was an active member of St. Edith Stein Parish in Brockton. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided the kindness she showed to others.

Carol found joy in life's simple pleasures and cherished traditions. She loved baking from scratch, especially her famous Easter Bunny cake, which became a treasured family tradition. She was also an avid sports fan who enthusiastically cheered for Boston's teams- the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins. In her quieter moments, Carol enjoyed crossword puzzles and the challenge of a good game of Scrabble.

She is also survived by her siblings Anne (Hoffman) Durgin, Peter Hoffman, Pamela (Hoffman) Lewis, and Geralyn (Hoffman) Shaw, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her siblings Stephen Hoffman and Claudia (Hoffman) Johnson.
