Carol Ann Bryant

Carol Ann Bryant, a vibrant soul known for her big heart and love of life, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 66, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 16, 1959, in Bermuda at the Naval Hospital to the late William and Edna Sims, Carol brought joy to everyone around her. She found delight in crabbing on sunny afternoons, crafting, and painting. Her creativity and warm, social spirit defined her, and she was never happier than when loud music filled her home as she danced and shared laughter with friends and family.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband of more than 20 years, David Bryant. She was the loving mother of Jennifer Robbins (husband Lucas) and Michelle Mathis, affectionately known as “Shell-Bird” (husband Tyre). Her greatest pride was her three grandsons, Lee Richardson, Grayson Robbins, and Carter Mathis. She is now reunited with her beloved sister, Theresa Bryant, who preceded her in death.

Her family remains deeply grateful for the love and support of friends and family who stood beside her throughout her life.
