Carol Ann Baughman

Carol Baughman, age 87, passed away on March 10, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Gainesville, Florida. Born on May 11, 1938, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Earl Adelbert and Sadie Vee Raymond, Carol lived a life centered on family, faith, and simple joys.

A devoted homemaker, she worked in her earlier years at Keystone Laundry and Troy Laundry. She found great pleasure in playing bingo, assembling puzzles, and reading Amish novels. A longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she cherished her friendships within the church and regularly visited the temples in Orlando and Tallahassee with dear friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baughman; her son, Gary Baughman; her granddaughter, Denise Marie Bearce; her grandson, Benjamin Ryan Baughman; and her six siblings, Thelma Burton, Burton Raymond, Willis Raymond, Thelma Raymond, Thora Thomas, and Jean Drain.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lyons and husband David of Gainesville, Florida; her sons Randy Baughman (Ginger), Robert Baughman (Rebecca) of Girard, Pennsylvania, Timothy Baughman (Lisa) of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Jody Baughman of Erie, Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Per her wishes, there will be no services. She will be laid to rest in Erie at a later date.
