She was born in Westfield on April 25, 1958, to the late Michael and Jenni (Petros) Gogol. A lifelong resident of Westfield, Carol was a graduate of Westfield High School. Carol dedicated 50 years of service to the Westfield Athenaeum before retiring in 2018. She enjoyed scrapbooking and especially looked forward to her many trips to the casino. She leaves her beloved husband of 49 years, Luis Soto; her two sons, Matthew Soto and his wife Christine of Westfield, and her cherished grandson, Ian Soto of Westfield, Michael Soto and his wife Nadyne of Westfield. She also leaves her brothers, William Gogol and his wife Jan of Westfield and David Gogol and his wife Kay (Gallo) Gogol of Alpine, Wyoming and her niece Jenny Gogol, her sister, Jane Watras of Westfield and her niece, Kathy Bartell and her husband Jeremy.
