September 7, 1940— March 8, 2026
Virginia Beach, VA
Carmen Rosales Bojo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith, was born on September 7, 1940 in Ichon Macrohon, Maasin, Southern Leyte in the Philippines. The cherished daughter of Solomon and Adelaida Rosales, she carried the values of devotion to faith, family, humility, and perseverance instilled by her parents throughout her life.
She was the loving and devoted wife of Rudy Quebedo Bojo, sharing 63 beautiful years of marriage. A steadfast Navy wife through Rudy’s career, relocations, and long deployments, Carmen created a warm and nurturing home for their family wherever they were stationed, raising their children with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Carmen’s life was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. Her devotion to God and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary guided her daily life, and she faithfully passed these spiritual values to her children and grandchildren. An active member of the Church of the Ascension for many years, she served in multiple ministries. She embraced and shared the rich heritage of her Filipino culture, taking pride in its traditions and remaining an active member, with Rudy, of the Quezonian Association and Cebuano Speaking Association (CSAT). She found joy in bringing people together, celebrated life’s moments with quiet strength, a gentle spirit, and a generous heart, and was beloved for her vivid, captivating storytelling that held listeners spellbound with laughter and wonder.
After a long and fruitful life, Carmen was called peacefully to eternal life on September 7, 1940 in Ichon Macrohon, Maasin, Southern Leyte in the Philippines. She now rejoins her beloved husband Rudy, her parents Solomon and Adelaida Rosales, and others who preceded her. She is lovingly remembered by her children Tes (Glenn), Joey (Chona), Rainier, and Richard (Rochelle), her thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy, as well as by many dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness.
