Carmen Renee Singletary

Carmen Renee Singletary

September 27, 1976 March 12, 2026

Mineola, TX

Carmen Renee Chrietzberg Singletary was born on September 27, 1976, to Cary and Elaine Chrietzberg, arriving exactly eleven minutes after her twin sister Caryn. The surprise of twins left a lasting impression on her father, who often recounted the moment a nurse handed him Caryn and returned to the delivery room for the next baby, and the doctor’s joking remark about a third.

In 1984, Carmen made the most important decision of her life when she accepted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2026.

She is survived by her sons, Joe Frank Singletary of Lindale, Texas, and Jayce Earl Conrad Davis of Mineola, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Mildred Nichols of Mineola; her parents, Cary and Elaine Chrietzberg of Mineola; her twin sister, Caryn Chrietzberg of Mineola, with whom she spoke each night; her brother, Corey Chrietzberg and his partner Carla Briley of Reilly Springs; her niece, Jordyn Mahoney; her nephews, Michael Mahoney and Brenden Chrietzberg and his family; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.

Carmen cherished her two boys and her family above all else. After struggling for years with drug addiction and becoming estranged from those she loved, her deep desire to reunite with her sons and family gave her the strength to overcome her addiction. She remained proudly sober for more than thirteen years, a milestone that brought great pride to her family. She possessed a beautiful singing voice and loved to harmonize with music, especially old bluegrass. The Stanley Brothers were her favorite, and she sang along beautifully to their song “Angel Band.” Though her family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in the promise of Romans 8:28.
