Carlyle Harrith Hannibal, affectionately known as Punky, Pooh Bear, and Biggz, was born on January 24, 1981, and passed away on March 5, 2026.

Carlyle was born in Trinidad to his loving parents, Judith Thomas and Carlyle Hannibal. He spent his early years in Trinidad, where he attended Malick Secondary School. In 1998, his family migrated to the United States in search of greater opportunities. From the time he arrived, Carlyle was known as a hardworking man who did his best to provide for and support those around him. He had a deep love for music and lived life on his own terms.

Carlyle was a devoted father to eight children, seven boys and one girl: Triston, Kyle, Tyler, Marley, Trinity, Zion, Zane, and Zen, whom he loved deeply. The mother of his children, Tricia Pedro, shared in raising their family. Carlyle took great pride in being a father and always did what he could for his children.

Carlyle was predeceased by his father, Carlyle Hannibal. He is survived by his mother, Judith Thomas, his eight children, his siblings Richard, Hashim, Crystal, David, and Michelle. His nieces and nephew Nathifa, Nabilah, Rukhsana, Jahel Zuri, Xoriah. He also leaves behind a host of cousins he loved dearly to many to name, extended relatives, and a large circle of friends both in the United States and back home in Trinidad.

Carlyle had a passion for cooking and baking. He operated a small catering business, Sweet Hand Catering, which was enjoyed at many family and community events. He took great pride in his cooking and believed his food was the best. Anyone who knew him could tell you that his stew chicken, macaroni pie, and his famous jerk and BBQ chicken on the grill always hit the spot.

He loved music, laughter, and spending time with the people he cared about. Carlyle may not have had much in material things, but he had a generous heart. Anyone who asked for help knew he would always try his best to assist. He was known for his kindness and loyalty to those he loved.

Carlyle will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love for his family, and the many lives he touched through his generosity and friendship. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
