Summersville, WV

Carlos Loudin, Jr., known simply as "Junior" to many, of Summersville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on March 5, 1940, in Arlington, West Virginia, to Carlos and Ona (Potts) Loudin, he was a devoted family man who cherished the bonds he shared with those around him.

He proudly served in the United States Army from August 1958 through August 1961, a period he remembered with great fondness. After a brief time driving a bread truck, Junior spent the majority of his career working in the oil and gas industry for various companies. He loved the outdoors, hunting, riding four-wheelers, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. With his warm and inclusive nature, he had a special way of making everyone feel like they belonged.

Junior is survived by his wife, Judy, whom he married on June 15, 1968; his children, Sid (Kellie) Loudin, Sherry (Scott) Thouvenin, Vickie (Scott) Strong, and Brenda (Don) Detweiler; his grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica), Amanda, Brianna (Matt), Natalie, Abbey (Austin), Christopher (Carlee), Curtis (Amber), and Chandra (Alec); and his great-grandchildren, Peyton, Paizlie, Olen, Brently, Paxtyn, Colin, Zara, Aidan, Lydia, Ezra, Camden, and Stryker. He is also survived by his brother, Allen (Buck), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Darrell, sister Carolyn, and great-grandson Luca James.
