Nogales, AZ

Carlos David Chavez was born on September 2, 2002, in Nogales, Arizona, and passed away on March 6, 2026, in the same city. From the beginning, his presence was marked by a heart larger than life itself, a spirit that yearned for joy, connection, and the simple pleasures that bring people together.

Known for his infectious smile and a laugh that filled any room, Carlos was a source of warmth and light. He had an innate ability to draw people close, especially children, even strangers. His love for kids was unmistakable; he would effortlessly play with them and lift their spirits, making them laugh with genuine ease. A true jokester at heart, he faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength and grace, always lifting those around him with his humor, dancing, and optimism.

Carlos nurtured dreams as unique and imaginative as he was. He loved the film The Truman Show and harbored a heartfelt ambition to move to Minnesota to open an exotic animal farm, fueled by his profound love for animals. Family meant everything to him; he longed always for closeness and togetherness, cherishing each moment shared.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Jessica S. Arizpe, and his maternal grandparents, Oscar Arizpe and Margarita Norzagaray. He leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Ana Chavez, and his brothers Sergio Rene Chavez, Francisco Xavier Chavez, and Damian Inzunza. He was preceded in death by his father, Sergio Rene Chavez; his paternal grandfather, Daniel Chavez; and his brother, Isaac Inzunza.
