Carline Eades

Edna “Carline” Eades, 96, of Carlinville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday morning, March 12, 2026, at Lakeside Health Care in Carlinville.

Born April 14, 1929, in Modesto, Illinois, Carline was the daughter of Carl Turner and Edna Hampton Turner. She graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1946 and married Leroy Dean Eades on September 30, 1948, at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

A devoted homemaker, Carline centered her life on her family and shared in the work of farming alongside her husband. She found deep joy in her faith, serving for many years as secretary for the Sunday school at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and sharing her love of Jesus with countless children. In quieter moments she enjoyed crocheting and watching her favorite television programs, “The Waltons” and “Gunsmoke.”

Carline is survived by her two sons, Larry (Judy) Eades of Hettick and Melvin (Linda) Eades of Hettick; grandchildren Lucas (Brandi) Eades, Ethan (Audra) Eades, Chad (Teresa) Eades, Clint (Nicole) Eades, Cory Eades, Chris (Michelle) Eades, Katie (David) Cressy, and Chaunda (Jason) LeMarr; great-grandchildren Brenden Eades, Landon Eades, Rhett LeMarr, Daggar Eades, Jackson Cressy, Bryson Briggs, Logan Debatin, McClyna Eades, Grace LeMarr, Tian Eades, Berlynn Eades, Hagan Eades, Gracin Thacker, and Olianna Briggs; great-great-grandchildren Theodore Eades, Lincoln Eades, and Kayleigh Eades; her brother Wendell (Mary Jo) Turner of Brunswick, Missouri; her sister Janet Summers of Columbia, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dean Eades; her parents; her grandson Jason Eades; her great-grandson Remmington Steven Eades; and her sister Alberta Thorpe.
