Preserve forever →Carla Anne Ranii Gaskill
September 14, 1954— February 26, 2026
Aspinwall, PA
Carla Ranii Gaskill passed away peacefully at home with her husband Frank by her side after a brief illness. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she lived for many years in South Carolina and embraced a life of adventure as a citizen of the world, residing in Spain, New York City, and St. Thomas, among other places.
Carla studied languages extensively and earned advanced degrees from several universities. A gifted teacher of Spanish and English as a Second Language, she formed deep connections with her students and their families, often going far beyond the requirements of her role to support them.
She was a woman of profound faith who loved Jesus deeply and was always ready to pray for others. Carla was known for her extraordinary care and generosity as a wife, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, and teacher. La Famiglia remained central to her life; even while living in another state, she continued to look after her aging parents, her single aunt, and her brother with unwavering love and attention.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Frank, her brothers Joe, Charlie, and Lou, their wives Joyce and Monica, her nieces Robin (Meghan) and Amber (Brian), and her great-nephew Jax.
