Carl Raymond Anderson, 90, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at his home on March 10, 2026. Born on February 21, 1936, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Elmer Raymond and Mildred Theresa (Sandberg) Anderson, Carl graduated from Francesville High School in 1954. He served briefly in the Army National Guard before receiving a medical discharge.
A lifelong farmer in Pulaski and White Counties, Carl also worked at Monon Trailer for 25 years. He took great pleasure in tending his 27 acres, often joking that he was self-employed in lawn care. A longtime member of the International Show Car Association, he traveled across North America displaying his prize-winning pickup trucks. Talented in rebuilding and refurbishing vehicles, he earned numerous awards and prizes for his craftsmanship. Carl was proud to be an American and a strong supporter of President Donald J. Trump and the MAGA movement. Above all, he was remembered as a loving, kind, and hardworking man.
He is survived by his partner, Patricia A. Frederick of Monticello, Indiana, and his daughter, Christine (Terry) Ferrell of Kouts, Indiana, along with many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Anna Carol Anderson, and his infant brother James Elmer Anderson.
