CARL VANCE ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Strunk Funeral Homes and Crematory - Vero Beach on Mar. 2, 2026.Carl Michael Vance, known to many as Mike (Mikey), of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026 at the age of 74.He was born on January 28, 1952 in Beckley, West Virginia to Carl Meadows and Thelma Blevins Vance and William Vance (step- father).As a master class welder and fabricator, his expertise was sought and admired by many! During his career, Mike worked in Guatemala, Alaska near the Arctic Ocean, oil rigs in the middle of the Gulf, and served many years at R&J Crane Inc. of Vero. During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and his loyal companion/dog Blackie.In addition to his biological parents, he was preceded in death by his Angelic sister, Kim.He is survived by sisters, Jamie and Theresa; brother, Brian; children, Michael, Tamara, Amber and Steven; nieces, Britney and Hannah; nephews, Brandon, Kannan, Richard, Hunter and Hayden, and grandchildren, Jasmine, Kaylee, Nick and Jayden.Mike was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. Although the ones left behind are grieving, Heaven is rejoicing because Heaven has received another Angel. He will be forever loved and missed tremendously.
