He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Hanselman; his stepson Albert Denny Newman III; his parents, Clarence Hanselman and Lela Hanselman; his siblings, Harold Hanselman, Joe Hanselman, Paul Hanselman and Alma Freeman; and his daughter-in-law Shelia Newman Dennis.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra "Sandy" Swearingen (Rodney), Carl E. Hanselman Jr. (Lisa) and Randall "Randy" Hanselman; his sister Donna Sue Crank (Alan); his grandchildren, Denny Newman III, Jordan Hanselman, Kendall Reynolds (Keenan) and Randy E. Hanselman; his great grandchildren, Austin Newman (Kaylee), Skylar Newman (Emma) and Presley Sue Newman; his great great grandchildren, Silas, Harper and Rowan; and his pets, Bonnie and Emmy Rose.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens (5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, OH 45150).
