Carey Miller ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 13, 2026.Carey Ray Miller, 57, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at home.He was born November 22, 1968, in La Porte, to Howard Sr. and Sharon (Lundgren) Miller.Carey was a cement mason with the Operative Plasterers and Cement Mason Local 692 for over 25 years. He also worked Renolite for five years. He was considered by all a jack of all trades, and he was also giving and selfless soul who was always willing to help. In his younger years he loved fishing, camping, riding 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, ATVs, and motorcycles. He was an avid player of softball and for years was member of the Bottoms Up softball team.He is survived by his siblings, Stephanie Hill and Howard "Tookie" (Terri) Miller; nieces, Lindsay Miller and Samantha Hill; and a nephew Tyler Miller; and also, Lilliana Adam and Jordan Rudd whom he considered his daughters; and friend Jolene Adam.He was proceeded in death by his parents.Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
