With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Candelario Leal of Lamar, Colorado, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Candelario left this world on March 7, 2026 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Candelario Leal, and Guadalupe Leal, Sr. (Florez); and his siblings, Octavia Alvarado (Arthur), Enrique Leal, Jesse Leal (Hortencia), Alice Rivera (Manuel) and Bessie Peters (Don).

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Leal; and his stepchildren, Linda Ocampo of Lochbuie, CO, Norma Sosa of Pampa, TX, Jessica Medina of Aurora, CO, Veronica Marta (Carlos) of Wheatland, WY, Angel Quiroz (Jeska) of Dodge City, KS and Corina Quiroz of Pueblo, CO.. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Peacock Family Chapel (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052). A rosary will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peacock Funeral Home (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peacock Family Chapel (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Candelario Leal, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
