Candelaria Hernandez, 82, of Snyder, Texas, passed away on March 12, 2026. She lived a full life centered on her family, meeting each day with love, joy, and a resilient spirit.

Born to Manuel and Ysydrora Leal, Candelaria worked hard throughout her life. She spent two decades at the Snyder Bowling Alley, three years at Dairy Queen, and fifteen years at Walmart. Her strong work ethic and dedication were evident in everything she did. In her free time she tended her garden, played Spanish bingo, gathered her family for game nights—especially her favorite, Family Feud—and enjoyed watching Spanish-language shows that brought her quiet pleasure.

She is survived by her sons, Jessie L. Hernandez of Weatherford, Texas, and Macario Hernandez Jr. of Poteet, Texas; her daughter, Stephanie Molina and husband Ruben of Snyder, Texas; her sister, Oralia Judge of Wallace, North Carolina; her beloved dog, Fefe; 19 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her partner, Mario Ramirez; her daughter, Anita Justa Martinez; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Candelaria will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the generous love she gave to everyone around her.
