Candace "Candy" Anne Willis, 74, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on August 30, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, to Tom and Jean Curry.Candy grew up in Wichita and graduated from Mount Carmel Academy. She later attended Wichita State University. Throughout her career, she worked as a bookkeeper for Ross Kerby and Associates, where she was known for her dedication and attention to detail.On September 21, 2001, Candy married the love of her life, William A. "Hoss" Willis, in Denison, Texas. The two shared many happy years together and especially enjoyed traveling and exploring new places side by side.Candy had a deep love for reading and was known among friends and family as an avid reader-so much so that it was often joked she could wear out a Kindle in six months. She also found joy in the simple things, including spending time with her beloved dog, who kept her happily on the move as she chased it around the house and yard.She is survived by her husband, William "Hoss" Willis; her son, Tom Carlley; her sisters, Mary Le Brown and husband Stan, and Tina Jacobs and husband Steve; and her cherished granddaughters, Catrina, Kamryn, Taryn, Alaina, Ellie, and Rilynn.Candy was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jay Carlley.A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, Texas.Candy will be remembered for her love of family, her sense of humor, and the joy she found in books, travel, and the everyday moments of life.
