After retiring, she spent a short time working as a door greeter at Walmart, where her warm smile and friendly personality made people feel welcome.Candace found joy in the simple things in life. She loved crocheting and could often be found working on something special for someone she loved. She also had a playful side and enjoyed playing video games, especially Mario and Donkey Kong. Cooking for her family and being surrounded by the people she loved most brought her the greatest happiness.Family meant everything to Candace. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who cherished every moment she spent with the people she loved. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.She is survived by her daughters, Pam Bortzfield (Robert Bortzfield) and Sherry Baer (Joe Baer); her sister, Kim Glass (Lohman Glass); and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.Candace was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Lightner, her nephew, Aaron Glass, her ex-husband, Lawson Bonner, and her beloved grandson, Derek Shultz.Candace will be remembered for her kind heart, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to her family.
