Camilla Joy "McKenzie" Teasdale

Camilla Joy (McKenzie) Teasdale, 95, of Burnet, Texas, passed peacefully on March 12, 2026, at West Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Born on January 19, 1931, in Hico, Texas, Camilla spent more than five decades in Burnet. She was first married to Winefred (Buddy) Woodard for 19 years, and together they raised four children. Later in life she shared nearly 40 happy years with her husband Buford Charles Teasdale.

Camilla is survived by her brothers Billy and Corinna McKenzie, Ronald and Dylcia McKenzie, and Carey and Betty McKenzie, as well as her children Debbie Woodard of Burnet, Randy Woodard of Austin, Brenda (Kay) and Mike Thomas of West, and Hugh (Buster) and Chris Woodard of Austin. She was blessed with grandchildren Bobby and Misty Wright, Christina and Scott Hughes, Ernie and Kim Woodard, and Kimber Woodard; great-grandchildren Justin Johnson, Candis Wright, Robert (Trey) Wright, Raelynn Wright, Trenton, Mason, and Mallory Hughes, Brooklyn and Brinkley Woodard; and great-great-grandchildren Ella, Hayden, Harper, River, Faith, Treasure, Robert, Jaxen, and Millie. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, close friends, and loved ones.

She cherished visits from family and friends and looked forward to every family gathering. Camilla loved to cook, sharing her cherished recipes for chili beans, spiced peach preserves, and sugar cookies. She found joy in country music, reading, crossword puzzles, and her favorite television shows. Above all, she devoted herself to the loving care of her home, her beautiful flower garden, her husband Buford, and her daughter Debbie, who lived with them throughout the years.
