Buff Pearce

Bobby Buffaloe “Buff” Pearce, Jr., 65, of Franklinton, North Carolina, passed away at his home on March 10, 2026. Born on August 28, 1960, Buff was the son of Kay Minor Pearce-Jackson and the late Bobby Buffaloe Pearce, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father and two children, Melody and Dewayne Pearce.

Buff is survived by his children Nick Pearce, Nycko Black, Emily Pearce, and William Pearce; his mother, Kay Pearce-Jackson; and his brother, Timmy Pearce.

He found joy in attending races, shooting pool, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors. A skilled mechanic and true jack-of-all-trades, Buff was always working on projects and was especially happy helping his son Nick cut grass each summer. He was known for his willingness to help others and lived a simple life that brought him contentment. To many he was affectionately called “The Twenty Dollar Man,” while others knew him as “Rough Buff.”
