April 21, 1941— March 12, 2026
Medford, NJ
Bryant Minard, Jr. of Medford passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 84. Born in New York City to the late Alice (née Dunn) and Bryant Minard, Sr., he spent part of his childhood in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. He served honorably in the United States Air Force in Japan before settling in New Jersey, where he worked for many years as a machine engraver at American Engraving in Willingboro. After graduating from Burlington County College, Bryant founded Medford Software House, his own software and computer business, which he operated until his retirement at age 75.
He was an avid sports fan, particularly of the 76ers and local high school basketball. Bryant found great joy in the outdoors, spending many happy hours fishing, boating, camping, backpacking, and hiking. A longtime member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the South Jersey Salt Water Anglers, he also belonged for a time to the Central Jersey Trail Rider Club. He cherished the years he spent owning and riding horses, often sharing that passion with his family.
Bryant is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Minard (née Jennings); their children, Nancy Armbruster (Gregg), Jill Flynn (Scott Thomson), and Scott Minard (Maria); grandchildren Ryan Flynn (Rebecca Coyle), Stephanie Armbruster (Alex Bottrell), David Armbruster (Lilly Navarra), Ethan Flynn, and Dylan Minard; and treasured great-grandchildren Penelope Armbruster, Claire Flynn, and August Armbruster. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Joseph Jennings, niece Laurie Jennings, nephews Joe Jennings and William Jennings, and former son-in-law Michael Flynn.
