Bryan Wells
August 10, 1967— March 7, 2026
Talladega, AL
Bryan Wells, affectionately known as “Red,” was born on August 10, 1967, in Talladega, Alabama, to Tommie Lee Wells and the late Edna Mae Wells. Raised in the Talladega Public School System, he spent his life surrounded by the family, friends, and community that meant so much to him. Bryan passed away on March 7, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Talladega.
He is survived by his devoted father, Tommie Wells; his son, Brian Jamal Shepherd of Talladega; his daughters, Keoiyus Keith and Britney McClendon of Huntsville; and his sisters, Tonett Wells and Meldrikka McKinney of Talladega. Bryan also cherished his six grandchildren—Kardia Calhoun, Jayce Shepherd, Phynlee Shepherd, Jaxson Shepherd, Blaire Sturdivant, and Clarke Sturdivant—who filled his life with pride and joy.
Known for his warm smile and easy laugh, Bryan loved to barbecue for family and friends, often gathering everyone around the grill for good food and conversation. A passionate sports fan, he cheered loudly for the University of Alabama, proudly shouting “Roll Tide,” and remained a loyal Dallas Cowboys supporter. He also enjoyed watching Westerns and, above all, treasured quiet moments spent with those he loved.
Bryan’s presence, laughter, and deep affection for his family will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his father, children, grandchildren, sisters, and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends whose lives he touched.
