Montgomery, OH
Bryan James, age 67, of Montgomery, passed away on March 12, 2026. He lived a life centered on friendship and deep connection, never knowing a stranger and finding his greatest joy surrounded by family or sharing stories with friends about his latest catch on the water. His warm invitation, “Don’t you rush off, just stay awhile,” became a familiar refrain, reflecting his desire to linger in good company as long as possible.
Bryan had a remarkable talent for fixing nearly anything and a deep love for the outdoors. He cherished traveling with his family and devoted himself wholeheartedly to them—whether coaching his children, patiently baiting hooks for his grandchildren, cheering from the stands, or simply cuddling up for a movie night. He was the beloved husband and partner-in-crime of Gail James for 42 years, and a loving father to Shannon James, Jeffrey (Claire) James, Kristofer (Ashley) James, Jessica James, and Madeline James. He was a proud papa to Evelyn, Wesley, Violet, and Rocky. Bryan was the son of the late Carl and Leona James and the best friend of his dog, Ghost.
