Union Bridge, MD
Bruce Hammond Muller, 72, of Union Bridge, Maryland, entered the presence of God on March 12, 2026 at home under Bridging Life hospice care. Born on July 15, 1953 at Gettysburg Hospital to Henry Thomas and Lillian Gist Muller, he was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and genuine kindness. He married his beloved wife, Linda Gail Muller (nee Jackson), on August 10, 1974 at Calvary Bible Church in Westminster, Maryland. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and service to others.
Bruce graduated from Westminster Senior High School in 1971 and began his career as a mason, apprenticing with Harry D Lambert Masonry, Inc. From 1971 to 1995 he worked his way up to job foreman, known for his steady work ethic and exceptional craftsmanship. In 1995 he became a self-employed masonry contractor, continuing until his retirement in 2017. He took great pride in his trade, approaching every project with the care of a true artist.
Beyond his professional life, Bruce found joy in woodworking, oil painting, gardening, riding his motorcycle, reading, and shooting clay birds with friends at the Littlestown Fish and Game Club. He cherished sailing with John Steinle and the camaraderie of longtime friends Bruce Devilbiss, Dan Ceary, and Harry Lambert. Above all, his children and grandchildren were his greatest source of pride and happiness.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda; his children Samuel Bennett and Kellie Lyn Muller of Taneytown, Benjamin David and Sarah Larlyn Muller of Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania, and Laura Jane and Andrew Thomas Mouring II of New Windsor; nine grandchildren, Caleb H., Noah C., Levi W., Anna C., Micah J., Gabriel R., Grace E., William H., and Jackson E. Muller; his siblings Thomas H. and Ethel C. Muller of Westminster and Loretta J. and Roger H. Wright of New Windsor; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A devoted member of Wakefield Valley Bible Church, Bruce served in numerous roles over the years, including board member, treasurer of the building fund, adult Sunday School teacher, and choir member. His faith was evident in every aspect of his life, and he shared it generously with those around him. He also served as a board member and treasurer of the Salem UMC Cemetery, Inc.
