Bruce Gray Sr.

Bruce Lockwood Gray Sr., 63, of Pinetown, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on September 8, 1962, he was the son of the late Bruce Dixon Gray and Nancy Gibbs Jefferson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Gray.

Bruce spent his days doing what he loved most—fishing, working on boats, and enjoying seafood. A baptized member of Haws Run Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he lived a simple life centered on the water and the people he held dear.

He is survived by his sister, Pamela Rooks (Aaron) of Georgia; his daughter, Rebecca Spain (David) of Washington; his son, Bruce Gray (Amber) of Pinetown; and his daughter, Kaylee Gray. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Adam McLawhorn (Jenna), Elijah Spain (Makenzie), Ava Gray, Ashley Gray, and Parker Gray, as well as his great-grandchildren, Stetson McLawhorn and Jaycee Spain. Bruce loved and cherished all his friends.
