Brittany Lynn Weiss

Brittany Lynn Weiss of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed unexpectedly on March 9, 2026, at the age of 39.

Predeceased by her father, John H. Weiss, she is survived by her mother, Lorraine M. Weiss of Punta Gorda, and her brother, Ryan A. Weiss of Webster, New York, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially her special cousin Jillian Baron of Niagara Falls, New York. She is also survived by her dear friend and coworker Michelle, and her next-door neighbors Walter and Sharon, who were her cherished marathon running partners.

Brittany was a loving and vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her. She embraced the outdoors year-round, finding joy in running, biking, and kayaking. A devoted animal lover, she was a dedicated cat mom to her calico cat, Punkin, and volunteered alongside her mother at the Animal Welfare League of Port Charlotte. Her warmth, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed.

Brittany’s ashes will be laid to rest beside her father at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, New York.
