Brian Patrick Walsh, born September 5, 1956 in Syracuse, New York, passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 69. The son of John and Mercedes Walsh, Brian served as a Peace Officer with SUNY ESF for 32 years. He will be remembered for his love of history, his quick wit, and the deep pride he took in his Irish heritage.
He is survived by his siblings Colleen Wager (Rick), Kelly Gutchess, and Kevin Walsh, as well as his nieces Jillian Wager, Sarah Gutchess, and Lisa McCall, and nephews Jake Wager, Cory Gutchess, and John Walsh. Brian’s many friends will also miss him dearly.
Brian was predeceased by his parents, his brother Eric, his niece Olivia Wager, and his beloved dog Maggie, whom he loved deeply.
