Brian Maurice Daigneault

Brian Maurice Daigneault, 80, of West Hartford, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 22, 1945, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Marjorie and Maurice Daigneault.

A proud Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, Brian remained closely connected to the VA in Newington throughout his life. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and built a career in the construction industry, later serving as an office manager for both an electrical and a concrete company. He approached life with genuine enthusiasm, finding joy in sports, especially as a lifelong UCONN basketball fan who supported “his boys” through every season. He played golf and fished for as long as he was able, and he cherished regular games of pool with his best friend, John Lamenzo.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Rosanne (Casale) Daigneault; his sister, Marti Donovan; his brother, Dennis Daigneault and his wife Donna; and his sister-in-law, Virginia Daigneault. He leaves behind five nephews—Timothy, Gary, Kevin, and Steven Donovan, and Shane Daigneault—and four nieces, Amy Godi, Karen Sevarino, Cindy Blier, and Nicole Daigneault. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Richard and Alan Daigneault, his nephew and godson Brian Donovan, and his nephew David Daigneault.
