Brian J. Moyer

Brian Jay Moyer, 56, of Lancaster, passed away on March 6, 2026, at his residence. Born in Lebanon on January 18, 1970, he was the son of the late Barry J. and Carol F. (Strauser) Moyer.

Brian spent many years working in the Thoroughbred Racing Industry before beginning a career as a truck driver for R&L Carriers. A lifelong Steelers fan, he found great joy in attending sprint car racing events with family and friends. He had a special gift with animals, who seemed to sense and return his gentle nature. Above all, he was a hardworking, devoted companion, father, and pop-pop whose presence brought warmth and steadiness to those he loved.

He is survived by his son, Austin M. and husband James Chesbro-Moyer of Palmyra; daughters Brooke S. Moyer and Brianne M. Moyer, both of Jonestown; sisters Jennifer Moyer of Jonestown and Tiffany Moyer of Annville; grandchildren Miguel J. Castillo, Sophia M. Castillo, and Elena Mae Horst of Jonestown; and his companion Janet A. Cintron of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael W. Moyer.
